The aim of this paper was to analyze and compare the production of cereals and agricultural exports in Japan and Vietnam from 2007 to 2022. Quantitative methods were used to process and interpret statistical data. The research found that Japan achieved higher but more unstable grain yields due to advanced technologies, while Vietnam showed more stable production. Agricultural commodity exports were higher and more volatile in Vietnam than in Japan, reflecting different economic strategies and global market conditions. A limitation of the research is the dependence on the accuracy of available data and the focus on only cereals and selected agricultural raw materials, which does not reflect the overall diversity of agricultural production. These findings provide valuable insights for the design of future agricultural policies and strategies in both countries.
