The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, energy prices, environmental regulations, and technological innovations on the price development of selected construction materials between 2014 and 2024. The analysis was conducted using trend and comparative methods, including statistical indicators such as mean, median, and standard deviation, and utilizing data from the ÚRS database (2021–2024) and the FRED database (2014–2024). The findings revealed high volatility in steel and polystyrene prices, while mineral wool and bricks showed greater price stability. These results reflect the significant influence of geopolitical events and the energy crisis on price dynamics. The study provides insights that can aid strategic planning in the construction sector, particularly in budgeting and procurement strategies. The research was constrained by the limited timeframe of the analyzed data and the absence of detailed regional information. Future research should encompass a longer timeframe and a deeper exploration of regional factors.
