At present, in the Czech Republic, the largest representation of forensic expert scan be found in the field of economics, in the branch of prices and estimates in the real estate valuation specialization. The reason is that the real estate market is becoming more and more attractive, and it is also due to obligations related to selected real estate arrangements. If the value of some real estate is needed, the client often turns to the entrepreneur who is in the field of the real estate valuation, ie the real estate appraiser. The most common reasons for determining the price of a property are its purchase or sale. If the value of the property is needed for tax purposes, the services of a court expert are required. The aim of this paper is to find the usual price (market value) of land in the cadastral area Smrkovice near Písek for sale. An index of real estate and location index is determined. In conclusion, the usual price of the land is assessed.
