The topic of the balance of payments of the Czech Republic after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic is very topical and important, as these account transactions are carried out by individuals, companies and government authorities. Balance of payments data is used to analyze the economic balance. The content of this paper is the balance of payments and the COVID-19 pandemic in the world. An important step of the paper is to analyze the development of current-account balance, capital-account balance and financial-account balance in the years 2010-2020. The basic source of data is the ARAD database maintained by the Czech National Bank. The data is further broken down by account, quarter and year. Subsequently, five graphs are created with growth and decrease in millions of CZK. The first three graphs show the growth and decline of the current account balance, the capital account balance and the financial account balance. The next graph is divided into two, for better clarity. There are curves of growth and decline of individual balance accounts. Based on the obtained data, an analysis is performed, from which appropriate conclusions were drawn. The aim of this paper is to obtain balance of payments data of the years 2010-2020 and to find out what effect COVID-19 had on the balance of payments of the Czech Republic, to compare the balance of payments before and after the outbreak of the pandemic. The data of all balance accounts are in positive values after the outbreak of the pandemic, so COVID-19 had a rather positive effect on the balance of payments of the Czech Republic, except for the last quarter of 2020 for the financial balance account. The contribution of these results may be used for further research into the growth or decline of the balance of payments in the coming years.
